Feeding Tens of Billions of People on Planet Earth

Introduction:  Engineering modification of the food supply to reduce global energy demands and bring about a more peaceable world society: the prospect of low carbon vegetarian foods that are addictive and feminizing being mass produced and universally available.

The Casomorphin Hypothesis:  It has long been known that some naturally occurring foods are addictive, and the biochemistry of this has been exploited to increase sales.  Some dairy products, such as cheese, form natural morphine-like proteins, the casamorphins, that makes eating cheese as habit forming as smoking opium. Bread made from wheat has similar compounds. Some compounds, such as those of the "umami" taste,  signal protein, and though not biochemically addictive, are preferred foods for that umami taste present in meat, fish, fowl, and mushrooms, and potatoes.

Soy is a bean with high quality vegetable protein. With some cottage kitchen processing it takes the form of tofu, familiar for its blandness.  Soy has the advantage that it could cheaply provide adequate protein for much more of the world's population than is possible from animal protein.  That is true too for other rich sources of vegetable protein, such as lentils, beans of all types, hemp, and quinoa.

Soy also has phtyo-estrogens that mimic human hormones, and affect behavior, making consumers more talkative, and thus more amenable to reason, and feminizing consumers, and thus amenable to social engineering to exhibit non-possessive metro-sexualism.

The proposal here is to modify soy, and other plant foods, to provide vegemorphin compounds coupled with "umami" taste factors to make tofu, bread, and noodles the kind of food people prefer to eat because of their narcotic properties and adequate nutrition. This new class of food, people chow for the masses, should provide complete amino acid balance of proteins, and as cheaply as possible, to become the global diet eaten most of the time.

Making such vegetable foods both physically habit forming, protein rich with intense umami flavorings, and  cheaper and more convenient than meat, poultry and fish, would result in widespread changes and improvement of agricultural practices towards environmental sustainability. In a few years time the resulting food security would yield positive effects in international relations. That, with the associated benefits of soy's effects on behavior would enable many more billions of people to be adequately fed, and live together on planet Earth than it is possible with meat based diets.

Conclusion: The masses can be now fed, and controlled, by habituating them to narcotic soylent green.
